ABOUT
Born and raised in Singapore, Maxine Chionh is an artist and a writer now based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Her work deals with core themes of loss, vulnerability and psychological excavation through storytelling and image-making. She explores identity and home as existentially undecidable yet viscerally potent concepts through drawing, translingual and multilingual writing.
Under the alias Maxine Victor, after her late father, her short stories have been published by Ord&Bild magazine as well as Göteborgs Konsthall. Her artwork has exhibited in Singapore, Jogjakarta, Venice and Sweden.
